Happy to break down the main areas of the system to get up and running. I’ll probably do this over a couple of posts, starting off with your user database.
In the People tab, you will be able to add the user profiles for your tutors, clients, students, and administrators. TutorCruncher lets you link your clients and students; students will be the tutees on your lessons and clients will receive the invoices for those students. This often reflects a parent-child relationship, but many of our users who work with educational institutions and corporate clients are able to link their users effectively. With regards to this link, you can also have multiple clients associated with multiple students, and vice-versa. The applications of this mean you can have multiple parents associated with a child learner, multiple employees associated with a corporate client, and more!
Whenever a user is added, they will receive a Welcome Email from your company which you can customise. You can therefore give all of your users logins so that they can start engaging with your company via TutorCruncher, such as your tutors filling in their skills and qualifications, your clients/students adding their calendar to their personal device. Adding your users can be done manually, or you can go into System > Import and follow the instructions to add all of your users at the same time and send them their Welcome emails.
The main thing I would suggest is approaching this user database like you would your personnel files. You can add custom fields to your users’ profiles, create labels to sort through your database, and upload documents that are relevant to each user. Onboarding your users into your database really is the first step to getting up and running on TutorCruncher.
